When I was in high school or younger, I was always told that Hemingway was a strong man and that his short stories were symbols of American hard-boiled literature.

He may be one of the most famous Japanese writers in my home country. I knew his name when I was reading Book Girl (a Japanese fiction by Mizuki Nomura), but I first read his works in 2022.
